  • place2dTexture851.rotateUV' is networked!!! what dose this mean???

hey guys. I'm still a newbi to maya.

i have no idea why this is happening but when i load a maya v-ray scene i get this error msg in the terminal.

MayaAnimatedPlugParam - plug: 'place2dTexture851.rotateUV' is networked - this is a potential problem and it is best to switch the plug to non-networked plug.

this only happens when the v-ray maya plugin is loaded.
if i lunch maya with out v-ray this error dose not appear.

can some one advice as what is going on??

iv looked at the node and there is no link or animation on rotate UV or any animation!!!

    thanks you.

Does this happen when opening an empty Maya scene or it occurs only when loading specific scene?

      hey Svetlozar,
we just figured out what it was.

it seemed that there was still some dead Arnold shaders and AIimage nodes in the scene that some how got connected to the vraymtl! we found this by pure fluke in the 2SG attribute where we saw the Arnold node connected to Displacement mat and volume!

this was the curse of the errors in the maya terminal.
it look like the vray render just ignored them and render fine.

we kill all of them now! i hope some are still hiden some where in maya we trying to find more of them and send them to hell where they belong.

      thanks you.

      VFXR.

This debug warning that help us find problems, but unfortunately has been compiled in the final builds.
We'll remove it in some of the next builds.
If you don't see crashes then you can just ignore this message.
If you see some crashes this might be related.
