  • Saving the Lens Effects from network render

    Hi!
Every time I send a render to Deadline, we never get the lens effects elements.
It has the layer but Its always black, and the real color layer renders normal.

    V-ray 3.10.1
    MacOS yosemite.

    Thank you

Lens Effects are not supported through Batch Render and Render Management software so far.
Lens Effects are VFB feature which only works when the image is being rendered in VFB.

I think you can tell Deadline to render with the V-Ray stand-alone, not Maya batch.

I will try using stand alone.
But this is a feature that I would like to have on the final render using Batch Render .

        Thank you

          Hi,

Is this still the case with V-Ray 3.5? I did a batch render test last night and the lens effects weren't applied to effectsResult output.

I'm afraid that the same stands for 3.5.

              No problem.

What's the best workflow? I batch render to vrimg and then just load it into the VFB, apply the lens effects then save from there.

That's an option for sure, another one is to export .vrscene and render it with V-Ray Standalone with VFB enabled.
