FastSSS2 translation problem of 3.00.01 to 3.10.01

  • FastSSS2 translation problem of 3.00.01 to 3.10.01

    An attaching scene is a FastSSS2 use scene created by VRayMaya 3.00.01.
    If a rendering is by 3.10.01 or the latest Nightlies

    V-Ray for Maya 3.00.01 | render time 14.7s
    V-Ray for Maya 3.10.01 | render time 48.1s

    It comes out and is 3.10.xx. It is very very slow then.
    (This is a simple-ized scene and an actual scene has a difference more.)

    Where is a problem?

    Thank you for the scene, I'm investigating it now. There is really a stange slow-down that should not be there. It's caused by the GI it seems.

      I'm also analyzed over day but a cause is unknown.
      It seems that the sampling point of FastSSS2 is increasing.

        It turned out that there was a bug related to using cached values that are not correct. And without this, the rendering now is slower. Will still investigate further if there is a correct way to speed up the rendering again.
