  • Way to find out Vray version when it wont load?

I am starting work at new place this week (Timber in Santa Monica). We are setting up centOS for long term pipeline needs. In Linux I don't see the Vray version listed in the plugin Manager. When I try to load Vray it can't obtain the license. The IT guy wants to know which version it is but I can't seem to use the about or see the version because it wont load. Is there a MEL command to fire that off or a place in the plug in folder where I can text edit and find a version number?

    Thanks

The plug -in loaded somehow even though there isn't a licence. It doesn't render but at least I could press the "i" and found 2.40.02

V-Ray does not require a lcense in order to load in Maya. A license is only needed for rendering/exporting .vrscene files.
