I'm curious if anyone has any neat Viewport 2.0 workflows/workarounds. I love the look of Viewport 2.0 with all the lighting/shadows etc. Lately I've taken to setting up all my shaders as Maya Blinns/Lamberts and then setting up Vray Mtl Overrides on them. As far as lighting goes I setup both Vray lights for rendering and then setup some Maya lights for the viewport with "Skip Rendering" checked on. The Vray lights are ignored in the Viewport since everything has Maya Native mats on.
The only downside of this approach is that Vray RT doesn't update when changing VrayMat attributes when they are used as overrides.
Anyone else have a different approach?
