XGen Rendertime

Hi, I have a problem with vray and xgen. I made a simple test scene with a plane an a lot of cubes as xgen obejcts. When I hit Render "Updating at Frame 1" takes about 5 minutes, rendering 8 seconds?

What version of V-Ray are you using?

V-Ray 3.10.01 and Maya 2016 Extension 1 with SP4

With so many primitives that slowdown is actually expected behavior, in our environment it took about 3min to export and render the scene.
We are working on a new feature at the moment which will improve that behavior but we are not able to provide when it will be available.

As for now it would be a good idea to use V-Ray RT when working on xgen-materials etc.
This will allow to work on the xgen-object without the need to re-export it each time to see the change you've made.
