    Haven't had time to confirm on a simpler scene but with this current project every time you render within Maya GUI the VFB doesn't clear the previously rendered mask when going through a different camera. So the render masked objects "build up/overlay" on top of each other. "cache geometry" is on and I'm using object sets to select my render masks.

    I can confirm the issue, but I'm not sure we can do much about it.
    The intention of the Render Mask feature is to allow you to change the look of parts of the scene.

    A workaround is to press the red x button in the VFB before rendering.

    What are you using the Render Mask for?

    p.s. There is a real bug when rendering a scene with multiple cameras in Batch. This one we will fix for sure.

      Sorry for the late reply over the xmas break.

      I use the render mask because clients always request material changes .

      Thanks, I was mainly concerned with the multiple cameras in batch as that's where the real issue is - thanks for the post confirming the issue.

        There is an option to clear the buffer before each rendering in the Common Rollout which should help:
