  • VrayFur Per Area Distribution

I'm having a bit of trouble with vrayFur distribution at the moment using MAya 2015 and Vray 3.15.01

In my current working environment we are using a 0.1 scale for the entire project. With everything so small the 'per area' doesn't appear to work properly even if I scale the values appropriately. I've also tried to use the Fur Scale factor hoping this was the fix with no luck. When I scale up the distribution object to 1.0 it works as expected.

Anyone know a good workaround for this?

    Thanks,

Ok, looks like it's not actually a problem. I think we sorta just figured out the system. If I put in a number into the per area field much larger than I expected I would need to then I get the results I was hoping for. Maybe I need to rethink the math I was using to compensate for the scale factor

You probably need the square factor of your linear scale.
