  • vrayClipper mesh mode animation stutters

    Hi!
I have a vrayClipper setup in meshmode, where a plane gets cut by a cube (in intersection mode). The clipping cube is animated (or better: constrained to an animated locator).

Problem is, the clipping edge doesn't move as smooth as I would expect. Check this clip:

The red cube is just for reference and is contrained to the same locator a the clipping cube. The camera is following the leading locator. Any ideas? Thanks!

do you get the same result if you use a distance texture to mask to a transparent material?

its a strange result. ive used clipper and distance tex on a job recently and never had a jerky issue like this..

It doesn't happen if I just use the clipping plane constrained to the loc, and not using mesh mode.
In the problematic scene the clipper is parented to the cube, and the cube is contrained to the locator, maybe that's the problem. Checking. EDIT: Nope. Still jaggy. Hmm. For now I just use the plane and not an object, but that's only a workaround.

You can also send the scene to the support for investigation, it's really strange....

Just checking if it's related to the history on one of the meshes.
