  • VrayTriplanar and Normal Maps

    Hi,

it seems, that normal maps won't work as desired if one uses VrayTriplanar to map them,
because of the nature of the VrayTriplanar mapping (which uses 3 planes, right?).

Basically one side uses +X but the opposite too (but should project from the other side).

Would it generally be possible to map with 6 planes ?

    Cheers

We can fix the normal maps - can you post some sample scene that I can use for testing?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Hi Vlado,

I've just sent the scene to the support team mail address.

      Thanks for looking into it

I think this was fixed a long time ago in the nightlies.

              Best regards,

Good to know...Our IT have a rule of not using the nightlies as they feel its unstable to be using versions that aren't a full release. I think compiling a list of the fixes in the nightly might persuade them the nightlies are worth using.

Each nightly build folder includes release notes where you can see what is changed.
