  • Vray RT not respecting Zdepth Filtering checkbox

Like the title says, it doesn't seem like CUDA RT is respecting the Zdepth Filtering checkbox. When I render to Multichannel EXR with RT, my zdepth passes are antialiased regardless of settings. Switch to CPU and the Zdepth filtering is correctly handled. Obviously this is a critical issue for compositing.

Is this a bug or user error?

For the moment, the GPU engine filters all elements.

How important is this for you? Just so we know how soon to tackle it.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Well, it's definitely a show stopper for anyone doing DOF in post, so it's a pretty big deal in terms of being able to use RT in production, which I am pursuing aggressively. I suppose I could render with DOF baked in, but that's far from ideal.

By the way, I LOVE the new features and improvements, especially the RT updates. You guys have been doing a tremendous job.

Any chance this was addressed in the new release, Vlado?

Oh, and nice work on 3.4! Denoiser is awesome and procedural textures in RT is great news.
