  • Vray Environment Fog / Volume is still visible with primary visibility=off?

    Hi,

i think its the same issue:

    http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...ume+visibility

In our project we are rendering an earth with an atmosphere (Sphere with vray Material / Opacity = 0 and a vrayenvironmentfog volume shader). In the renderlayer with the other objects, the earth has an vrayobjectproperty and primary visibility set to off... but the volumeshader is still visible.

Am i doing something wrong or is this a bug?

    Best regards

    Hi David,

The information form that thread is still valid
visibility currently only controls the surface of the object, not its volume.
But you can use the Ray filter switch to remove the fog from a certain layer.
