  • Vray 3.30.01 2016 Normal Map Problem

    Hi all,

    I've got a bit of a problem with some normal maps in Maya 2016. I've just updated all our machines to 3.30.01, and it's caused some issues with normal maps being displayed incorrectly on renders and within the hypershade. See below for differences. Would anybody know of a fix?

    This is it in Maya 2015, rendering correctly: (ignore the incorrect gamma on the hypershade previews...)
    (Running latest version of Vray, also).

    This is the same scene in Maya 2016, looking fairly horrible, note the differences in the Hypeshade, along with messed up normals in the render.

    Change the color space of the file node to "Raw"
    V-Ray/PhoenixFD for Maya developer
