Object Properties - Shadow Checkbox gone

The Shadows Checkbox isn´t shown in the Attribute Editor any longer.
Attribute ist still in the channel box but can´t be overwritten from there...doing so via Attribute Spreadsheet all the time is quite tedious.
Is this intended?
