  • Possible Sun + Sky bug with buckets

    Hi,

First time I've seen this in a scene, I have a room setup with a sun + sky. All rendering on the local machine (NO DR).

However I get these artefacts on the wall? They are not specular artefacts but direct light coming from V-Ray Sky via a portal light.

I can send in the scene if need be, just wanted to make sure if this was a known bug before doing so.

It's not a bug, just hard to sample situation. Increasing the min. subdivs for AA should solve the problem. Alternatively, increasing the sampling for the refractions (if those are glossy refractions) will help too.

      Thanks for the reply Vlado.

I was using the 1-24 method this time. I just tried then with the older 1-100 universal method and while it's still kind of visible I can get away with it.

      Thanks for the help.

It might be worth trying 2/24 or 3/24 as well.

        Best regards,

2/24 worked quite well - thanks!
