  • radiusPP and Metalballs

what should i be doing to get my radiusPP to affect my metaballs particle radius?
I have the "use particles size" checked in the Metaballs attributes.
I am setting it to example.radiusPP = rand(1,4000); and the results look the same as no radiusPP
what step am i missing? maya 3.3 stable

Seems to work just fine here. Does adjusting the threshold in the metaball help?
What type of particles do you use and on what Maya version?
A workaround would be to use the same expression for the metaball's radius, maybe? Works for me too.
If none of the above works, can you send us an example so we can take a look?

If I set that expression on the actual metaballs it changes scale on a frame by frame basis, not on birth

Can you get us a simple example where it doesn't work for an expression to the particle radius?
