  • V-Ray 3.4 Material Environment override not working

Hi, got some problems with the new V-Ray for Maya 3.4. The Vray Material Environment Override is not working anymore.
When switching back to 3.3 it works again. I'am using Dim distance in combination with material environment override too add a different reflecting environment in my production scene.
Even the material thumbnail shows a totally different result in V-ray 3.4. Any chance this is a bug?

    Best Regards,

    Robbert Lubken

Yes, it's a bug. It's logged to our system now and we'll fix it, thanks for the input. I'll update the thread when there's news.

Thank you! Keep up the good work with the new awesome features but keep an eye on the stability. I have a feeling that developers push new features too fast these days and that stability will be less important. Previous stable build also had issues. Don't get me wrong, I love V-ray.

No, not yet I'm afraid. Still on our to-do.

If you have access to the nightly or stable builds, it should be there already. If you don't have access, please email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com and we'll sort it out.

              Best regards,
              Vlado
