Thanks for the pointer; will look into it, but generally Maya 2014 crashes without proper OpenGL support, with or without V-Ray. I've had this issue whenever I try to do something with Maya's native Render View, with other renderers too. The V-Ray VFB was fine.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

We've found the issue and it will be fixed in tomorrow's nightly builds and the fix will be included in 3.40.02. Thanks for reporting!

Although tested in the latest Nightlies[vray_adv_34501_maya2014_x64_26828] and Public 3.40.02, Fatal Error still comes out.

            I am confirming on VMware.
            confirm again?

Confirmed, it's still reproducible. I'll let you know once there is some progress on this, sorry for the inconvenience.

It seems that we are triggering some bug in Maya with Viewport 2.0. We will notify you as soon as we have a fix.

The Rendering Engine of Viewport 2.0 was changed into DirectX11 and it worked!
For the time being, it works with this.
