  • 2016.5 VP V-Ray display problems

    Hi. We're getting odd behavior with VP2 and V-Ray shaders. Object occlusion is often seemingly backwards (farther objects occluding closer ones) and objects not displaying at all. If we set the viewport to use Default Material it displays fine, or if switch the objects standard Maya materials (Phong, Lambert, etc) it all works fine. This is 3.40.01 on Mac.

    Any ideas?

    Yes, this is a known problem in 3.40.01. You could either update to 3.40.02, or from the Viewport 2 options, set Transparency Algorithm to "Depth Peeling"

      Great, thanks. This fixed it. I *thought* we had upgraded, but I see now that we ran the 3.40.02 installer for 2016, not 2016.5
