batch render license problem

Hello. We finally deployed Maya 2016.5 and v-ray 3.40.02 on the farm. We do this with batch install scripts to all the machines, so the process is obviously the same for each. All the machines worked fine except one. For some reason when we batch render on the farm, we get

[2016/Jun/28|15:21:51] V-Ray error: Could not obtain a license (0).

and the render fails. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling etc but I can't get it to work. I've run setvrlservice to manually set the license server location. All to no avail. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

can you get a license if you start maya on that machine and load vray through ui? also can you ping the lic server from that machine? firewall off etc?

Thanks. Yeah looks like the DNS settings on that machine somehow got mucked up. All fixed now!
