Hello,
I was trying to blackhole an asset with "matte surface" and "-1 alpha contribution" from the object proprieties node,
and I found that the result was slightly different in comparison to without "matte surface".
After some tests, I realized that the problem was that the asset had a 2sided mtl applied to it.
Looks like that when you "matte surface" an object with 2sided mtl applied, it gets a different result.
I'll attach some prints with VrayMtl version / VrayMtl2sided version and the scene file.
Tested this on Maya 2016 ext 1 SP 6 - Vray for Maya 3.30.01
Thanks,
Dan
