  • V-Ray Doesn't Render?

    Hi!

I bought a V-Ray Educational License last week and wanted to render a recent project with it. It had been rendered with the Octane demo before but the license was too expensive for my taste. After installing V-Ray I changed the engine and replaced all the materials by a 80% grey just to check the lighting but it does not render. When I open up V-Ray Frame Buffer nothing will happen and when I use Maya's Picture Viewer I either get Viewport Wireframes or just plain nothing.

I have attached the file for people to have a look if it renders for them or if they run in to the same problems.

    Hi,

Could you please check for any errors or warnings in the Maya output when the render is started?
Your file renders fine here so it might be a license issue.
Have you tried to render just one Sphere and a light ?

Yes this was it! When I went to re-install my V-Ray I saw it was set to recognize a remote V-Ray license on the network instead of automatically recognize the license on my machine! Thanks!
