  • VRay 3.4 For Maya 2016 OpenCL Or CUDA Doesn't Render Maya Fluids

Title says it all. Valid nVidia 780 card. VRay Setup recognizes it. Yet renders for Maya fluid objects comes up blank. CPU renders just fine. Please help. Thanks.

*Edit - I've tried this with nCache fluid and also live sim. When VRay kicks off in either case you can clearly see the fluids in the prepass phases but at final render there is nothing but an empty frame.

They are not supported for GPU rendering. They could be visible in GI prepass phases, since those prepasses are actually computed on the CPU where fluids are supported.
