  • Vrscene export texture path issue

When I output a .vrscene from Maya OSX and try to render it via standalone on my Windows render slave I get texture path issues. My current workaround is to output a .vrscene from Maya OSX with the windows absolute paths entered into my textures search path and this totally works but I'm wondering what the recommended workaround currently is for this.

    Thanks!

This is actually not an issue, all OSes are using different path conventions which V-Ray uses when exporting to .vrscene.
There are a few workarounds one of which is to replace the paths with the corresponding OS-path when changing the OS.
Another option is to use VRAY_ASSETS_PATH variable to specify in which directory V-Ray should look for if an asset is not found on its default location.
