  • How to show VFB when using Maya command line render?

Is there anyway to show VFB during command line batch render? I have unchecked "Hide V-Ray VFB in Batch Mode" and turn on the "Use V-Ray VFB" but it still does not show.

    Running on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Vray 3.10.01, Maya 2016 SP2.

    Hi,

Currently this is a limitation that we are trying to workaround by implementing additional tool. Maybe as a temporary solution you can monitor the rendering process by previewing the .vrimg file.

Tashko is right, in batch Mode the Maya GUI system is not initialized so it can't show any windows. However if you are rendering to a .vrimg file, it may be possible to preview the render progress by opening the file.

      Best regards,

Thanks Tashko and Vlado. Been trying the whole day trying to bring it up, thinking it was the render manager fault.

Hope to see this feature being implemented in future.

          Hi all

Just checking to see if this has been implemented.

I tried using display=1, but no go in the Cmd line.

          Cheers

sherridge101 Not yet. We do have the request logged, however, it is not a trivial one.
