  • Frame Buffer Black Noise Bug

I've been getting this weird black noise in the VFB all of a sudden that almost looks like a histogram highlighting clipped whites. When I save my images to file it's not there so it's purely in the frame buffer. I've run into this before and it randomly stopped doing it at some point during the project but I don't think I did anything specific to fix it. Just thought I'd bring it up and see if anyone else has run into this.

    Thanks!

Do you have any color corrections enabled?
Does it happen all the time? Do you have a scene?
Which version of Maya, V-Ray and OS are you using?

Color corrections are disabled and it doesn't happen often, only happened once before and that appeared on a Material ID render layer.
      I'm using Maya 2016 ext. 1 + SP6 with V-Ray 3.4 on Windows 7.
I can share the file with you if you like, just send me your email.

I don't have vray infront of me at the moment but I recall there is a button in vfb called show unclamped color. Its probably on which is why you are seeing that.

Thanks Morbid, that was it. I thought I clicked on all the icons in the vfb to check but I must have missed that one.
