  • Light linking supported?

    Hi All,

Quick question is light linking supported in vray? i thought it was a while back but am having no luck with it today.

system info: Maya 2016, vray 3.4 official, win7

    thanks

Works fine here. Maya2017Upd1, Vray nightly 3.45.01, revision 26872, Win10Pro

EDIT: Not on the GPU, though.

Hm, it should fine even on the GPU, at least my tests are fine... can you share the scene or send to me at vlado@chaosgroup.com ?

      Best regards,

I think this could cause it: As of Maya 2016 it can happen that the connections made in the Light Linking editor are not being stored when the Hypershade is open while creating them. I am experiencing it quiet often lately. It sometimes even happens after closing the Hypershade.

Ah the joys of the new Maya versions... since those guys switched to "agile" they seem to introduce more bugs than they can fix...

            thanks for all your replies!

Looks like someone beat me to the issue and solution, its a hypershade problem in maya. close the hypershade and it all works perfectly thanks!

It would be nice to have an illuminate by default tick box on vray lights still
