  • lot of proxy is imported and a time slider is moved, it will freeze several minutes.

In V-Ray3.4, if a lot of proxy is imported and a time slider is moved, it will freeze several minutes.
It does not freeze in V-Ray 3.00.1.

    Is there how to solve?

(Creating of the meshpreview node has taken time?)

Can you tell us which Maya version you are using and the exact V-Ray build? Also, are the imported proxies animated?

      Environment is: VRay 3.40.03, Maya2016 SP6, Windows 7.
      and Proxy is not animated.

Proxy is imported as 250 files.
As compared with vray_adv_30001_maya2015, 3.40 is clearly slow.

Do you get the same slowdown with V-Ray 3.40.04 but in Maya 2015?

Maybe, the version of Maya is not related.

          Here is comparing.
It is the same scene in Maya 2015.

          VRayMaya 3.00.01

          VRayMaya 3.40.04
          https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B03...ew?usp=sharing

Whenever 3.40.01 moves a slider, it is processing "Vewport 2.0 Proccessing."

Thank you for the video clips. I still can't reproduce this, though.

I did notice you're using an older GPU driver. Can you upgrade to the most recent one (should be 375.70) and test if this slowdown will persist with the latest V-Ray service pack - 3.40.05?

It is the same problem although tried on 375.70 drivers and VRay3.40.06.

A sample scene is in below.
Please duplicate vrmesh by batch file in zip before loading a scene.

Thank you for the scene. We can reproduce it with Maya 2015 and have reported it as a bug.
We'll post in this thread with any updates on the issue.

This issue has been resolved in the latest nightly builds and the fix should be available within a next V-Ray for Maya service pack.
