  • VRscene not behaving!

    Maya 2017-latest stable release VRay.

When rendering locally the result is as expected. I then save the scene out as a vrscene and render locally the results are very different.

I have a vray clipping object which is a cube and this clips the object which sits above cached out alembic MASh node for the particles.
It seems that the clipping object is cutting through the intended object but also the poly cache, but as you can see in the correct render on the right, they do not.

    So why the difference?

Do you apply the clipper after the vrscene is imported back into maya or before that and it's saved to the vrscene? Edit: Actually scratch that, it should work as expected.

Can you elaborate a bit on the setup, I'm not sure if I got it right:
    * the scene is saved out to vrscene from maya
    * it is then imported back as vrayScene object
    * it is clipped with a mesh clipper
    * what is mash used for in this setup?
Can you possibly make a simple example that you can share?
