When I render the same sparks scenes on our renderfarm with Maya batch the motion blur is broken (same behaviour when rendering locally with the 'Render'-->'Batch Render' option):
- With abc geometry piped into the vrmesh loader, I no longer get any non-linear motion blur - just straight lines
- With abc particles piped into the vrmesh loader I get what looks like no motion blur at all
So for now it seems the only way we can get proper subframe motion blur is by converting our particles to geometry and rendering them in the interactive Maya session, which is very limiting.
