  • White lines on vector displacement - PhoenixFD OceanTexture

Hello I'm having problems when trying to use the Ocean texture from PhoneixFD in a polygonal plane (Maya 2016 SP6, V-Ray 3.5 Trial).

I am sending the sequence of images and some screens attached!

Thanks a lot for the help

    Hello,

This is a known issue and we're working on it.

If you are after a flat ocean surface you can use the Phoenix Simulator in Pure Ocean mode - this way you won't have to simulate and you will get correct results.

As for the issue you are having I will update the thread when we have a fix for that.

    Thank you,

Georgi, thanks a lot for the help!

I downloaded the Phoenix FD (Trial) and used the Simulator in Pure Ocean worked well! But the render farm I was using did not have PhoenixFD support.

So I tried using the Water Map | VRayWater Works like a charm! It renders very fast in Full HD and works on all renderers farms that I had access to.

      Thank you for your help
