Hi guys,
Just got caught up to the full version of 3.52.03 and I was testing AL Surface's SSS(which is pretty awesome btw), and came up with some odd results in my renders.
Maya 2017, sp3.
Vray 3.52.03
I've boiled it down to a simple repro scene attached to this thread.
Primitive sphere with an AL Surface,
diffuse is white
sss is green
sss radius is at 3
Infinite light from screen left
In the images you can see this x pattern on the right side in the SSS component of the sphere.
As best as I can tell it's in the shader and globally aligned.
Rotating the sphere does not change the placement, nor does changing the angle of the light.
Changing the SSS radius affects it's visibility, but the line is still present.
Increasing the subdivisions creates a clear X but is otherwise unaffected
Would love to know if there's something wrong with my installation or if this is a bug. Assistance appreciated
btw, having SSS in lightselects in awesome!
Thanks
-Richard
