  • wich version is installed.?

is there a way to find out wich vray build is installed...
im talking about nightly builds... like "vray_adv_36001_maya2018_x64_27575"

    HI.

On the render view you have a % buttons that shows you the vray version you are using. It's on the right down corner of the Vray render view. Outside the program you may go to your vray license server and check the versions you have installed and running.

I hope this helps you out.

    Cheers.

If the farm runs vray standalone (as render servers), you can use the vraydr_check tool to query what version is running on each machine https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ng-DRChecktool
If you the farm machines rely on mayabatch, you can remote into them and run the vray standalone executable in a command line (the one that comes with the maya installation) and do a vray -version to query the version and build number.
The only other way I can think of is if again you can remote into the farm machines and start the mayapy executable in a command-line, open maya without gui and load the VRay plugin - it will print its version and build number upon loading.
