  • VRmat Converter Warnings

    Hello

i have problems converting to VRmat.
The converter reports "warnings" but i can not find a detailed log. The materials with warnings appear only black when used in max and the textuers are not exported-
i need a detailed log to find out what makes the converter do notwork with the specific materials.

Can anybody tell me where i can find a Vrmat converter log (i am using windows 10)- or any other way to find out what causes this issue.

    any help would be appreciated.

    thanks a lot - joh

    EDIT:
what i found out so far:

-the warnings relate to the triplanar tex used in Maya and the place2dTexture..
I have to change the uv settings in every VRmat in Max from genMaya setting to genUVW settings to make the textures work...but the triplanar do not work anyway.

Is ther a way to tell the converter to use the Max UVW settings instead of the place2dTexture coordinate sfrom Maya???

The warnings should appear in the script editor, we should have made it a bit more obvious.
We have probably not added support for converting triplanar textures with the vrmat converter.

You can export your scene to a .vrscene and load the .vrscene file in the VRMat material in 3ds Max (it works for loading materials both from .vrmat and .vrscene files). You need to have the material first applied to an object in Maya, though, then export to .vrscene.
