  • Scene Bounding box too large warning

I am working with a large scene, roughly 1 X 1 kilometer. When rendering I get a warning that the scene bounding box is too large and that I will get raycast errors.

What does this exactly mean for V-Ray?

It means that with extremely large scenes there is a slight chance that some ray somewhere hits something next to what it is supposed to hit. But generally, it's just a warning and I've so far never seen actual rendering errors in V-Ray for Maya. Unless you experience an issue, you're safe to ignore it, it's only a warning.

Rgr that, Thanks. I am new to V-Ray and work with very large scenes and just wanted to make sure before I start rendering large image sequences.
