Xgen Archive Scenes and geometry compile phase shortened
Unfortunately nothing can be done about this at this point, according to our developers. They'll see what improvements can be made in the future for the xgen exporter.
Alex Yolov Product Manager V-Ray for Maya, Chaos Player www.chaos.com
While it's true we can't do much about a slow compile geometry at this point, the fact is it shouldn't be slow in the first place. When rendering the provided vrscene, the step compiling geometry finishes in less than 2 seconds for me. Can you please provide more details about which version of V-Ray exactly you're using and how you're using the exported vrscene? Are you including it in another vrscene or via the Vrscene Manager in Maya? I've tried both of these use cases and it's similarly fast.
