Glitch in a few frames in the the Alpha channel

Hello,
I'm hoping to get this figured out.

I'm rendering this strip with an object set render mask to knock out the Geo behind it.

I'm getting this stutter (tail) on just a few frames and only in the separate alpha channel. This is only happening on about 4-5 frames too.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

this looks wrong to me. Which V-Ray and Maya versions do you use? Is it possible to share the scene so we can take a look at it?

I'm using Maya 2018 with the lastest version of VRay. the site isn't allowing me to upload the file, can I email it to you? It's saying invalid file.

I think that there's a restriction for what file formats can be uploaded as attachments to the forum. For example, .ma or .mb are not allowed, but if you put them inside a .zip - it will be OK.
