  • vertex order

    Hi another question

how does VRAY consider vertex order? clock wise? what I'm seeing in the sample files is that
is kinda crossed and it also does some triangles crossing the volume, like in a cube, there's 2 invisible triangles
    inside.

I'm I nuts or what, seems kinda weird vertex order to me

    thanks

There is nothing invisible inside a cube and nothing is crossed.

Vertex order is counter-clockwise when you look down the triangle normal.

so VRAY takes every triangle as a face, not a quad as a face right?

thanks for all the great info Vlado

For the moment V-Ray only deals with triangles. For the cases where quads are needed (like subdivision surfaces), we use edge flags to specify the diagonal edges in the respective triangles as "invisible" edges - similar to how this is done in 3ds Max.
