particle index/vray 3.1 shader not working anymore

  • particle index/vray 3.1 shader not working anymore

    hi!
    I'm trying to retrieve the index of particle being shaded in a custom texture shader. It used to work with vray 3.0 (using RayResult.faceIndex), but not anymore with vray 3.1... help please!

    Hm, can't see anything changed there. Are you ussing 3.1 or 3.15 nightly?

      vray -version outputs 3.25.01... to be more precise btw, RayResult.faceIndex always return 0...

        still not working... is there any other way to retrieve the current particle ID then?

          3.25 is the standalone version which matches 3ds Max in the nightlies, so I guess it's 3.15 nightly. There were some recent changes there, which seems to cause this. Will fix it for the next nightly.
