It is difficult to find the "maketx" binary for Mac OS.
Can I download somewhere?

Can I bundle the maketx binary with the V-Ray installer?

I think I read somewhere in the forum, that you have almost none or maybe absolutely none advantage using tx over exr.

From what I remember V-Ray even renders with jpeg as fast as with exr.

The advantage with tx is it can use 8-bit images, if you convert something to tiled exr it automatically gets increased to 16-bit float which gives you bigger files!

What will you do if you get this response from the official support of CHAOS GROUP?

"Please use the one included with ARNOLD. CHAOS GROUP does not provide Mac version of meketx binaries."

I am a CHAOS GROUP reseller and support Japanese End Users instead of CHAOS GROUP.

We'll consider it. As a general note, any available tool for converting to .tx can be used, there's a few out there.
