I see a Max 2022 V-Ray released yesterday. I'm also hoping for status on Maya 2022. I have a new workstation and am trying to decide which version to install on it right now...

3ds max has not changes on their programming structure.
MaYa instead has changed the programming structure.
So is going to take bit to have the vRay for MaYa 2022. Chaos needs to adapt to all the programming changes happening in MaYa 2022.

However I will tell you to NOT change to MaYa 2022 yet. This first release will have bugs, but will e better soon.

Unfortunately Chaos program vRay always for 3ds Max first.
I wish will be the other way around.
First MaYa and then 3ds Max.

Hey, 2022 support is coming very soon. We've been working on this for a while now, among other things.
We'll post on the forums once builds are available, so stay tuned.

This post contain the explanation why we need to wait for the vRay 5 update for MaYa 2022.
Looks like you (a mean many people out there) dont know the exact reason why is not available vRay 5 for MaYa 2022 yet.

I hope this explain.

Oh God, dont worry, Im not updating to 2022 for some time yet. I prefer to sleep at night rather than stay up fighting buggy software. Ill be waiting till a service pack comes out.

As always since MaYa is part of Autodesk we need to wait until the 3rd patch will be release to have a less buggy software.
