Dear Chaos Team,
Im just testing the Cloud and and I never understood why vRay (Chaos) invert the zDepth.
Where the white color will be affected and the and the black color will NOT affected.
MaYa had (100% sure) / have (dont use MaYa Arnold or Mental Ray ) the white color as a focus area and the black color as a unfocused area.
For example alpha areas to be covered are black (affected) and the part of the alpha in white are the areas that are not affected or are not mask.
My question is.
Why vRay affect the white areas and not the black areas?
This does not make any scenes for me.
I already understood, but I can accept / understand why.
Will be possible to change this ?
If you think in a real camera, the parts that receive the highest amount of light will be white and the surfaces that receive less light information they become black and they will be blurred.
If we are using a physical camera in vRay why not to do:
#1 White 0% zDepth affected.
#2 Black 100% zDepth affected.
Another short example.
White is almost all programs has a HSV of 255 untits = full Color
Black instead 0 units = no color at all.
This means Full Color = 100 natural look - no Color at all = 100% affected be the "Distance Depth".
WHY IM ASKING FOR THIS?
Well, when I render an Image I get always not focus (white) the area that I want to have focus.
This disturbs me visually.
