  • Playblast rendering form Vray frame buffer

It would be great to get a quick playblast render option using the frame buffer so frames have vray farme buffer layers, (lens effects, exposure etc).

A playblast is just a screen grab from the viewport. If you want a series of super fast rough renders, cant you set render to progressive + denoise + lens fx with a 10 second max render time?

No you can already vray IPR render a playblast from the viewport using Maya's legacy playblast feature. Vray already has settings specially for this (playblast quality settings), just having one from the frame buffer would be one step better. Means your master scene settings don't need to be messed with.

Just render with time settings. Set it realy low like 15sec per frame.

We don't have an option to do this from the VFB. But like it's suggested here, you can use the progressive sampler to do the same with regular animation rendering.
Note that IPR only uses BF+BF for GI, so if you're limiting the time per frame to a few seconds with regular progressive rendering it might be a good idea to switch the GI to BF+BF.

Thanks, yeah I understand that, would just be good to have a quick shortcut that compiles into an avi quickly.
