  • A reset values option for each category in render settings

Something when Im testing / learning a new feature I dial in some random settings to see what they do, but then I dont remember what the initial values were, but dont want to totally reset all my render defaults. Itd be really useful if each drop down menu in render settings had the option to reset that group to defaults. So if I am playing with caustics, I can reset just all the caustics settings to render default, but leave everything else alone.

Hi, thanks for posting. There is already available method for doing this. If you hit Ctrl + right click with the cursor over the arrows this will reset your value to default.
If you just use right click a drop down appears with reset and other useful commands.

Hi, I cant seem to get this to work in Maya. Your screen grab looks like the MAX UI.

Yes you are correct, please excuse me about this mistake. In Maya we do not have the ability to reset every setting individually. We can reset all settings - Click image for larger version Name:	chrome_2023-02-28_15-40-32.jpg Views:	0 Size:	84.2 KB ID:	1174337
I will log a feature request issue about your request and we will consider adding it in the future.
