Render to TIFF?

Just a quick request. Is it easy to add TIFF as a render format in the future?

The reason I'm requesting, is that TIFFS play really nicely with Adobe's RAW importer in Bridge and Photoshop. With TIFFS it's possible to do lossless colour adjustments and basic image editing.
