  • Support for maya 2011 Smooth Mesh Boundary Rules

    In 2011 maya introduced a new default for Smooth Mesh which is determined by several attributes, but the main one is "Boundary Rules". VRay is currently using the "legacy" setting and ignoring the new "crease all" setting.

    And example of where "crease all" is useful is when smoothing a ribbon where we want to preserve the sharp corners yet still smooth the mesh along the direction of the ribbon.

      This would be extremely handy to have in the vray subd options next to the smooth uv's box. A vray SubD option without smoothing outer edges would be great.
