i would like to see the "affect matte objects" option in the Z-depth RenderElement. One main thing to consider when implementing this would be that when "filtering" is turned OFF then the "nearest to camera" depth value must be computed only from samples that are not "matte objects".
Do you think this is an easy feature request and maybe give it a higher priority? Would help us a lot over here at Mackevision.
