  • Vray Physical camera and layer overrides

    Hi,

I am using the Vray physical camera a lot and like it. However, in my scenes, I usually do some matte passes and AO pass.
In order to get it to work work I remove any colour mapping and switch the physical camera off with overrides on the selected render layers.
I do that in order to have the matte and AO not changed by the physical camera and colour mapping.
Now my problem is if I switch off the physical camera, the camera goes back to the Maya camera attribute, which in most case also change the focal length of my scene ( the view) because my focal length in the physical cam is key framed. When the physical camera is off the default parameters are not keyframe.

So I would like to know if we could have an option in the physical camera, that allow to keep it on (therefore keeping the physical camera focal length) but switch off the "physical option" like exposure, f-number, ISO... anything that would change the colour of the image.

    Thanks,

    Yannick

That's a really good point. We'd also like to have a way for doing this. Thank you!

Turn off "Exposure Colour correction" in the physical camera properties.

That will not stop the fstop, camera exporsure and ISO. Or will it?
