  • Each renderElement is a "set" (to output renderElement by objects)

    Hi,
Light select element can output "diffuse element", "spec element", etc etc with selected light, in relationship editor.
What do you think about apply this "logic" with all renderElement ?

Connect some object(s) to a renderElement (with relationship editor) will render just the element of this object(s) (like contribution map for MR).

It is not impossible, however it may be a better idea to add a separate parameter that you can link to a set with the desired objects. Otherwise Maya may delete empty sets and your render elements when you don't expect it.

Any news about objects link to render elements?
I have a shot with a lot of reflections (sea) and my reflection pass is too much data, I would like to separate the objects reflections and the sky reflection for example.
Perhaps there is already a way to do this ?

      Thanks !

        Up,
        Any news about this ?
I have an ocean with boats. I want to separate the reflection of the boats on the ocean, and the reflection of the sky (to boost the reflection of boats in compositing).
What is the priority of this ?
        Thanks !

It will not happen for a while yet; we have to get the next service pack out before we can work on this.

            + 1 for this.

            Would revolutionize our workflow here.

            Thanks
