Hi all,
We have a problem on a feature film.
We use Houdini and Maya (render with Vray Maya).
We have a some geometry in Houdini that we export to a .geo file.
We convert the .geo file to .vrmesh.
The problem is : we lost all materials assignements !
So, i see in Maya, to create a proxy, we have a option : "Export all selected objects in a simple file".
The problem is we haven't this option with the ply2vrmesh.
It will be great if we have, for example multiple .geo file, and create 1 .vrmesh (and keep material assignement for each .geo files).
Or, the best of the best solution, is with .obj file, we can create a "faces selection sets" in Maya or Houdini (when you reimporte your obj file, you will have the set).
It will be wonderful if ply2vrmesh read this information and keep the material assignement.
Thank.
